Ryder Industries Expands into Vietnam to Support Customer Growth

To answer growing demand from our customers, Ryder Industries is proud to announce the opening of our electronics manufacturing services (EMS) production facility in Vietnam. Adding almost 20% to our global footprint, the new site will expand our ISO-certified capabilities including plastic injection, SMT lines, final assembly, testing and packaging.

The EMS sector has always been subject to rapid change, and we understand that this brings challenges for our customers. We believe in simultaneously looking ahead - to invest in the manufacturing capabilities of tomorrow - while remaining committed to quality in everything we do in the present moment. Recognising the macroeconomic uncertainty faced by many sectors, the investment in our Vietnam production facility will help reinforce our customers' supply chains while providing advantages for tariff management.

As a business, we are focused on offering our clients the stability, precision and support that will enable their growth. When we review the basis of our success with customers, a combination of several factors has to be in place - and following extensive due diligence, we know that these same elements can be found in our Vietnam facility:

  • Ryder's exceptionally high production standards
  • The commitment and capabilities of our team
  • Our certifications and regulatory compliance, including rigorous IP protection
  • The robustness of our supply chain
  • The responsibility and integrity with which we do business.

Our analysis has shown that Vietnam offers a positive environment in which to do business, and ensures we can help our customers continue their own supply chain diversification strategies. It combines an advantageous global location, that is close to our core Chinese supply chain, with a skilled local workforce. The site benefits from a strong transportation infrastructure, positioned 40km away from Ho Chi Minh City, 20km away from the new Long Thanh airport and 50km away from a major port. Ryder is well-recognised for our commitment to responsibility - for our people, our environment and the communities in which we operate - and the Vietnamese government has shown an enthusiasm for partnership with businesses such as ours.

The new facility therefore forms part of Ryder's strategic growth plan, extending the breadth and resilience of our manufacturing infrastructure and supply chain. From an operational perspective, the ability for our team to easily transfer between sites ensures the continuity of our culture and standards. For customers, this means they can feel confident in enjoying a "Ryder experience" wherever we operate.
